This is the first stage of Vetstarter and the only requirement for participation. Prior to starting a funding campaign our veterans must receive training and a letter of recommendation from an experienced mentor. This stage is critical for developing realistic expectations for both the donors and recipients.

100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to the veteran funding campaign of your choice. Vetstarter never touches your money and acts only as an escrow service allowing you to directly finance a disabled veterans business venture. Prior to starting a funding campaign our veterans are required to go through the mentoring stage and must first receive a positive recommendation from a professional in their future business area.

All veterans receiving donations provide blog updates of the progress of their new business venture. This allows you the donor an opportunity to provide continued support and encouragement to the men and women of our military that have paid a heavy price for their service to our country.
